This course provides an overview of the organizations within health care, public health, and nonprofits that influence population health within the United States. Students compare the organizational structures, regulatory dimensions, and economical supports within various systems. Students also learn the role that public policy plays in shaping health outcomes and how policies are developed, evaluated, and influenced.
