Catalog description

Students will learn the fundamentals of motor control, as well as how to write code in the NEURON simulation environment to develop and run simple computer models of motoneurons under healthy and disease conditions. Students will also learn how to simulate the pathological changes in motoneurons that occur in a number of injury conditions and neurodegenerative diseases, such as spinal cord injury (SCI), multiple sclerosis (MS), and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
