Catalog description

Numerical methods for the sciences using modern programming languages. Solution of linear and nonlinear equations, symmetric matrix eigenvalue problems, interpolation and least squares. Initial value and boundary value problems for representative systems governed by ordinary and partial differential equations are also solved numerically.
