Catalog description

This course introduces students to the process of extracting business insights from organizational data. It provides a broad overview of the entire data analytics pipeline including collection, preprocessing, analyzing, visualizing, modeling, and interpreting data. Modern computing tools and essential data mining, machine learning, text, and network analytic methods will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on learning when to use each technique as well as its theoretical underpinning. This course has a fee that is non-refundable once the term begins.
