Explore the basic principles and practices of biological safety and biosecurity. Gain an understanding of risk assessment and methods used to prevent laboratory acquired infections. Learn the identification, handling, and containment of potentially hazardous biological materials, including microorganisms, genetically modified organisms, recombinant and non-recombinant nucleic acids, genome editing technologies, and gain-of-function experiments.
