Catalog description

Introduction to financial data analytics, including the application of common financial data sets, financial analysis techniques, algorithmic trading, market microstructure, order placement and execution tactics used in trading financial assets, quantitative trading strategies, and other emergent topics. Students will be introduced to computer programming using Python, R, or other tools. Prior programming experience is helpful but is not required. Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level MS 2050 Minimum Grade of D and Undergraduate level FIN 2210 Minimum Grade of D and BUS Tier II Complete 7 (the following must be completed: ACC 2010; EC 2040, 2050; EC 1050 or MTH 2280; ENG 1100; MKT 2500; MS 2040)
