Catalog description

This course addresses the physical, chemical, and biological methods used to remediate contamination in soils and groundwater. Emphasis is on practical applications. Strategies and technologies to address contamination, including the natural attenuation, containment techniques, pump-and-treat, and in situ technologies, will be reviewed in sufficient technical detail so the student can apply basic engineering design equations. Prerequisite(s): Graduate level EES 6560 Minimum Grade of C
