Catalog description

The purpose of this course is to gain contextual knowledge to teach in contemporary schools. The course emphasizes on psychological, social, and cultural aspects of teaching diverse populations. Diverse learners include, but are not limited to, students with disabilities, economically disadvantaged students, ethnic minorities, gifted, English Language Learners, multilingual speakers, students in workforce, and students with addictions and/or addictive behaviors. Prerequisite(s): Graduate level EDL 7645 Minimum Grade of C
