Application of chemical principles, techniques, and instrumentation to analyze forensic evidence found at crime scenes and in legal investigations. Students will learn about the role of chemistry in criminal investigations, including the analysis of physical evidence such as drugs, toxins, explosives, fibers, and trace elements.
