Catalog description

This course is designed to give the student a basic understanding of the relationship between structural features and properties in polymeric materials. Topics to be covered include chain structure and configuration, molecular weights, solution behavior, the amorphous and crystalline states, the glass-rubber transition, fundamentals of rheology, cross-linked polymers, block copolymers, branched polymers, stimuli-responsive polymers and polymer composites. Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level CHM 2110 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level CHM 4610 Minimum Grade of D Course Level: Undergraduate Schedule Type(s): Lecture Grade Mode: Standard Term(s) Offered: Spring
