Organization and sequential operation of digital computers. Binary and hexadecimal number systems, 2’s complement arithmetic, program control, memory organization and hierarchy, addressing modes, stacks and parameter passing, interrupts and traps, I/O devices, DMA, cache, and virtual memory. Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level CS 1181 Minimum Grade of C or (Undergraduate level CEG 2170 Minimum Grade of C and (Undergraduate level CEG 3320 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level EE 2000 Minimum Grade of D)) Corequisite(s): CEG3310L
