Catalog description

This course introduces students to clearance-related concepts, terminology, and expectations when working in classified environments. Students will explore national security strategy, security domains (e.g., OPSEC, COMSEC, INFOSEC), and learn how individual behavior and communication influence trust and adjudication decisions. Through practical exercises and weekly engagement, students gain immersion into the culture and language of secure federal workspaces. Graduate students will complete an additional analytical presentation assignment focused on a past or current security concern.
