Introduction to the fundamental concepts and physical, mathematical, and engineering foundations of modern imaging methods for biomedical applications. Basic principles of image formation and the physical properties of the resultant image are discussed. Topics covered include: x-ray, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging.
