Catalog description

Introduction to biological concepts for Elementary and Middle School Education Majors. Structured around the National and Ohio State Science Standards and taught from an inquiry perspective. Examines approaches that attempt to teach science as a knowledge-building practice, i.e., by engaging in scientific investigations and participating in scientific practices such as designing an investigation, explanation, and working with scientific models. Prerequisite(s): WSU Math Placement Level 21 or Undergraduate level DEV 0415 Minimum Grade of P or Undergraduate level MTH 2415 Minimum Grade of D Course Level: Undergraduate Schedule Type(s): Lab; Lecture Course Attribute(s): Wright State Core Grade Mode: Standard An additional fee is associated with this course.
