Introduction and overview of the multiple facets of aerospace medicine, the history of aviation and space related to the need for specialized training in air and space medicine. Concepts of flight, anatomy, physiology, aircraft and spacecraft systems and the working relationship of humans to extreme environments are mastered through scientific inquiry in the digital classroom and laboratory.
