Catalog description

This course examines the impact of the community in social work practice. Major theoretical frameworks (Systems, Micro/Macro/Mezzo, Eco-Systems) will be reviewed and broadened to include key concepts that shape social work practice with groups, organizations, and institutions. This course will consist of four main foci: integrated case management, methods of change, the nature of community-based social work, and advanced leadership practices. PREREQ: ENROLLMENT IN SOCIAL WORK (MSW)
