Catalog description

This course builds on generalist practice and human behavior courses to address clinical social work practice with children. It will specifically focus on play-based interventions with children and working collaboratively with families and other systems. Interventions with specialized populations will also be addressed, such as children with disabilities or children who have experienced trauma. PREREQ: TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS COURSE, THE STUDENT MUST BE ENROLLED IN THE MASTERS IN SOCIAL WORK PROGRAM AND MUST HAVE COMPLETED SOCWORK 712 (SOCIAL WORK PSYCHOPATHOLOGY)
