Catalog description

This course introduces basic statistics applicable to social work practice and research. Social work practitioners must be able to conduct research and data analysis to provide effective interventions for their clients. The course also provides students with opportunities to learn a popular statistical software for social research, SPSS, to analyze the data and present results. PREREQ: (C OR BETTER IN ( MATH 139 OR MATH 141 OR MATH 142 OR STAT 101 )) OR ADMITTED TO THE MSW DEGREE PROGRAM
