LEADERSHIP AND PROGRAM PLANNING IN SPORT AND RECREATION

Catalog description

This course focuses on planning, preparing, conducting, and evaluating recreation and sport programs. Students will gain basic knowledge about the principles of program planning, and they will develop the ability to select effective program content tailored to the needs of participants. Emphasis will be placed on applying leadership principles and facilitation strategies in programming. In theory and practice, this course prepares students to develop programs from scratch and gives them the tools to evaluate and improve existing programs.
