LITERACY INSTRUCTION IN THE ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE GRADES

Catalog description

This course focuses on literacy with emphasis on the interrelatedness of listening, speaking, reading, viewing, visually representing, and writing, as elements of communication. This course also will include an in-depth examination of reading, comprehension, study skills and content reading using children's literature as support. In addition, classroom organization, special needs and assessment will be considered. PREREQ: READING 360 AND READING 461
