Catalog description

In this course students will carefully analyze foundational texts in contemporary legal theory and philosophy, and investigate how the ideas formulated in these texts apply to the world of laws and morality in which we live every day. By the end of the semester students will not only have gained familiarity with these formidable texts, they will also have worked to develop critical reading and thinking skills broadly applicable to their lives outside of the classroom. PREREQ: SOPHOMORE STANDING OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR
