Catalog description

This course teaches future physical educators how to have children explore movement through music, develop coordination and rhythm, channel energy, stimulate imagination, enhance balance, flexibility and skill. Students will analyze movements used in basic dance steps and dances, develop self-confidence, improve their technique and creative ability. Choreography, fitness, and teaching practices will be explored in educational dance. PREREQ: ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION MAJOR
