Catalog description

This course provides an introduction to inclusive and adaptive approaches for teaching music to students with diverse learning needs. Students will explore principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), differentiated instruction, culturally responsive pedagogy, and assistive technology. Through readings, discussions, and practical applications, participants will learn to design, adapt, and implement meaningful music experiences for all students, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans, within inclusive and collaborative learning environments. PREREQ: MUSED 160
