Catalog description
This course examines the theory and practice of training and development in organizations. Emphasis is placed on foundational motivation and learning theories, approaches to identifying training needs, and methods for evaluating training effectiveness. Students will explore a range of training and development programs, including orientation, skills training, team building, management development, organization development, and diversity training. PREREQ: ( MANGEMNT 220 OR POLISCI 421 OR SENIOR STANDING) AND ((COBE MAJOR: 2.50 CUMULATIVE GPA) OR (NON-COBE MAJOR/MINOR/COBE MINOR: 60 CREDITS AND 2.00 CUMULATIVE GPA))
