Catalog description

This course will focus on the analysis of television production, content, and audience reception from the perspective of feminist and cultural theory, with consideration for historical and contemporary texts. Text and images will be examined for representations of sex, gender, women, and LGBT+ individuals with regard to how those representations impact meaning making, identity formation, politics, and social responsibility. (HA, HA-H) PREREQ: SOPHOMORE STANDING
