PURCHASING MANAGEMENT

Catalog description

This course provides an understanding of the business role of purchasing and procurement in relation to both operational and strategic organizational goals. Students will be able to identify alternative terms and conditions of sale, source suppliers and build supplier relationships. In addition, exposure to the bidding and auction process, negotiating with suppliers and total cost of ownership will be provided. PREREQ: ITSCM 306 AND ((COBE MAJOR: 2.50 CUMULATIVE GPA) OR (NON-COBE MAJOR/MINOR/COBE MINOR: 60 CREDITS AND 2.00 CUMULATIVE GPA))
