Catalog description

Analytics is the process of providing a competitive advantage to organizations using data as a tool. Analytics dominate the business of sports. This course will provide students with an understanding of the basic concepts of sports analytics; how different sports use analytics; and the basic methodologies, systems, and technologies that support sports analytics. The students will learn to use generative AI to enhance their skills and productivity including coding. This course will not cover any aspect of sports gambling.
