The King/Chávez Research Seminar is an engaging undergraduate course that emphasizes the essentials of research and active learning. It aims to enhance students' research skills, boost academic confidence, and foster a scholarly identity. The course features research development activities, collaborative learning in the library and community, and guided inquiry. Students will acquire essential skills in critical thinking, research literacy, analysis, and ethical research practices, deepening their understanding of how to create a research proposal. Additionally, students will engage in the creation and public presentation of an original research proposal and poster at the King/Chávez Spring Symposium, showcasing their work. PREREQ: RESTRICTED TO STUDENTS IN THE KING/CHAVEZ SCHOLARS PROGRAM
