HISTORY OF MINORITIES IN AMERICA

Catalog description

This course will explore the role of racial minorities including African Americans, Native Americans, Hispanics, and Asian Americans. As an Ethnic Studies (ES) course, this course thoroughly integrates the experiences of these groups into US history in a manner that fosters understanding and appreciation of their perspectives and experiences as well as their contributions to, and interactions within, American society. Many instructors also explore the experiences of ethnic, religious, and sexual minorities, or other traditionally underrepresented groups. (HA, HA-H)
