FOUNDATIONS OF ENGLISH COMPOSITION

Catalog description

This course will cover various methods of developing and organizing composition curriculum, including concepts of design and assignment types. Successful completion of the course will help you to: (1) Understand the field of composition studies, (2) Understand and apply practices for effective writing, (3) Hone your writing skills, (4) Hone your teaching skills, and (5) Design learning activities and course documents that scaffold writing instruction. PREREQ: (UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE IN (ENGLISH OR ENGLISH EDUCATION)) OR INSTRUCTOR CONSENT
