Catalog description

This placement provides the student with the opportunity to fully develop practice and reflect upon skills acquired through coursework and previous placements. Students will be assigned a placement that services infants to three-year-old children with developmental delays and diagnosed disabilities or who are at risk for developmental delays. Students are provided supervision by a Cooperating Teacher, and a University Supervisor. Students will plan, adapt, and implement instruction to meet the goals and needs of individual children, conduct assessments, evaluate child performance, and collaborate with families and professionals. PREREQ: ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND (EARLY CHILDHOOD/EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION MAJOR)
