Catalog description

In this course, students will learn various active reading strategies and critical reading skills in order to effectively comprehend, apply, analyze, and synthesize information from a variety of texts. The main purpose of this course is to provide students with the necessary active and critical reading skills to succeed in their outside courses. Throughout the course, students will enhance their critical reading and thinking skills as well as their metacognition skills in order to effectively prepare students for complex reading materials in their current and future required college level courses. PREREQ: FRESHMAN STANDING OR SOPHOMORE STANDING OR INSTRUCTOR CONSENT
