This course is for the student who wishes to develop and refine skills in the area of addictions counseling. The course will examine the roles, functions, and settings of addiction counselors. Students will develop knowledge and skills related to evidence-based approaches to address addictions and integrated mental health, trauma and addictions treatment. PREREQ: COUNSED 746 AND ADMISSION TO MS COUNSELING PROGRAM OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR
