Catalog description

Students today come to school with widely ranging backgrounds and experiences, many of which impact their performance at school. This course seeks to equip teachers with skills to create classroom and school environments where all students feel safe and supported. Trauma-sensitive and culturally responsive practices will be explored deeply to help teachers meet the needs of students dealing with trauma, anxiety, and mental health concerns.
