This course provides an overview of oral language development and its relationship to the development of social skills, literacy and learning. Language characteristics of children with exceptional educational needs are described and strategies for improving their communication skills are discussed. PREREQ: RESTRICTED TO STUDENTS WITH PROFESSIONAL ED ADMISSION
