INTRODUCTION TO CLINICAL PRACTICUM IN COMMUNICATIVE DISORDERS

This course provides an introduction to the tasks and related competencies associated with clinical practice in speech-language pathology. Students will develop an understanding of treatment principles and clinical practice procedures, and gain an understanding of the responsibilities and professional issues associated with the practice of speech-language pathology across the lifespan. Students will obtain 25 guided observation hours. PREREQ: SENIOR STATUS COREQ: PRIOR COMPLETION OR CONCURRENT ENROLLMENT IN COMDIS 481 , COMDIS 477 , AND COMDIS 426
