Language Teacher Advocacy and Communities of Praxis is a one-credit seminar in which students will explore a rotating topic of current importance to the field of multilingual education. Teacher advocacy is a central tenet of bilingual and ESL teaching and takes multiple forms. Topics will focus on collaborating with and supporting multilingual children and families of color, particularly with immigration, migrant worker, and refugee experiences in the U.S.
