Catalog description

This course provides a discovery of the connections between visual art and a variety of disciplines. Cultural values and the social institution of education will be examined. Through inquiry, analysis, and research, students will explore art as a form of perceptual, social, and cultural learning. Finally, the course is a study of the means and methods of engaging teacher candidates in the skills and activities needed to develop to engage in their visual world and to increase their academic learning. PREREQ: ADMISSION TO PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
