This course examines research-based learning theories and best-practice teaching strategies associated with specific content areas. Essential principles and theories of classroom motivation and management will be used to develop a comprehensive classroom management plan that provides a safe, inclusive, accepted, and respected learning environment. This course includes an introduction to reading skills, study strategies and materials applied to the content fields, and techniques for incorporating reading into content area instruction.
