EXPLORING ECOLOGICAL ISSUES IN SOCIETY

Catalog description

A study of basic ecological concepts and their application to the identification, understanding, and abatement of contemporary environmental problems. Special emphasis is given to those problems resulting from humanity's activities. This course includes a laboratory component concentrating on hands-on activities that will explore ecological phenomena and how human activity can alter how our natural world functions. This course fulfills the conservation requirement for teacher licensure in the sciences. (NSW, NSWL)
