Catalog description
This course focuses on the development of proficiency of American Sign Language (ASL) at the intermediate level. Students will learn conversational language and visual gestural strategies to develop further ASL fluency. Grammatical principles and functions are emphasized, as well as appropriate cultural behaviors and conversational regulators in ASL. Students continue developing their knowledge of Deaf history and culture. PREREQ: C OR BETTER IN ASL 142 OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR
