Catalog description

This course focuses on the acquisition of American Sign Language (ASL) conversational skills and builds on the foundation laid in ASL 141 . Students will continue to learn conversational language and visual gestural strategies to promote ASL fluency. Grammatical principles and functions; appropriate cultural behaviors and conversational regulators; and Deaf history and culture are emphasized. (SBS, SBS-E) PREREQ: GRADE OF C OR BETTER IN ASL 141 OR CONSENT OF INSTRUCTOR
