Catalog description

Provides student teaching (or internship, where appropriate) experience in the developmental/subject areas needed for teacher licensure in Wisconsin. This is a half-day or full-day teaching experience that follows the calendar of the cooperating school(s) in which the student is placed. Initial licensure half-day residency requires two semesters of student teaching for 12 credits. This course is also for candidates seeking non-initial licensure, for a length determined by the department based on their previous licensed teaching experience. Successful completion of all coursework as well as admission to student teaching residency and associated documentation is required prior to registration.
