Catalog description

This course introduces the field of personal financial planning with emphasis on developing skills for both personal financial management and preparation for careers in the financial planning profession. Topics include personal financial statements, cash flow and debt management, time value of money, education funding, economic concepts, savings vehicles, and basic gift and income tax strategies. Students gain practical experience with financial calculators, Excel, and activities that build problem-solving, communication, and professional skills.
