Catalog description

This experiential course will provide an overview of history, theory, practice, and assessment in art therapy. An examination of art therapy through its principal orientations to psychology and psychotherapy will be presented. Areas to be addressed include the use of art therapy techniques with distinct populations, ethical considerations in the practice of art therapy, and hands on studio learning methods and activities.
