Strategies for Academic Success is a two-credit seminar designed to enhance students' success in college. The course focuses on unearthing the hidden curriculum of higher education, identifying common barriers to success, and building essential skills needed to be successful in college and beyond. Lesson topics include: Stout's expectations, policies, and procedures; study skills; time management techniques; note taking strategies; financial literacy; dimensions of wellness; goal setting and attainment; and resources available to you as a UW-Stout, TRIO SSS student. Prerequisite: TRIO SSS Participant/Accepted into TRIO Student Support Services
