Extensive development of vocabulary including common idioms, aural comprehension, correct pronunciation and recognition of verb tenses. Readings and class discussion based on historical background and contemporary Hispanic life, including Hispanic culture in the United States. Typically appropriate for students that have taken two years of H.S. Spanish or completed SPAN-102 . Prerequisite: Spanish Placement Test or SPAN-102
