Catalog description

Application of advanced extrusion theory and transport phenomena to design extrusion, extrusion blow molding, and thermoforming processes. Material selection, heating and cooling of plastic parts, product sizing, webline handling, as well as die and screw design using flow simulation software will be emphasized. Prerequisite(s): take ETECH 315 , ETECH 343 , PLE 340 , PLE 360 , and ENGR 391 * (*ENGR 391 is a prerequsite or corequisite)
