Catalog description

Study of the storage and distribution environment of the product/package system related to shock, vibration, and compression and how this environment affects material selection and package structure. Extensive hands-on use of package testing equipment and computer instrumentation. Focus on building design confidence and competence through effort. NOTE: Effective Spring 2025, this course will change to 4 credits. Prerequisite: Take PKG-250 (C+ or better), PKG-260 (C+ or better), MATH 153(C or better) OR MATH 156 (C or better) OR MATH 151 (C or better), and take PHYS-241 (C or better) OR PHYS-281 (C or better)
