Theory of numerical methods and their application to data science, scientific computing, and mathematical modeling. Numerical approximation of functions including their derivatives and integrals using local and global approximation methods. Numerical solutions to linear and non-linear equations. Best approximation methods. Prerequisites: take MATH-158 , MATH-275 and CS-145
